The healing power of turmeric
Antioxidant-rich turmeric has been used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat various human illnesses for thousands of years. As well as being rich in antioxidants, turmeric also has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, can help with diseases such as diabetes, arthritis and liver disease. It can even help with cancer and health issues such as Alzheimer’s Disease.
In fact turmeric can be beneficial to sufferers of any disease which is caused by inflammation. Which is why it can also help sufferers of regular chronic skin infections.
Importantly, turmeric has been proven to be beneficial to the health of dogs as well as human beings. Most particularly dogs which suffer from ear and skin infections.
The benefits of golden paste for dogs
Golden paste was originally developed from traditional turmeric recipes by renowned Australian vet Dr Doug English.
For many years it has successfully provided chronic inflammation and arthritis relief for hundred of thousands of animals as well as their human companions. Dr English found that adding coconut oil and freshly ground black peppercorns in specific quantities to a turmeric and water paste increased the body’s ability to absorb the curcumin by up to 2,000%.
Following the guidelines established by Dr English, these four ingredients make up my Joint Support for Dogs.
It has been tried, tested and recommended for its health benefits by both dogs and humans and handmade by my own team in our own kitchens in rural Somerset.
I use it, my team uses it and my dogs swear by it. And I even have a very heartwarming success story to further attest to the benefits of my Joint Support for Dogs. Read Beanie’s Story.
